Transport Manager is required for a 6 months fixed term contract which may be extended after this period.

MET Recruitment London LTD are looking for a Transport manager who will be responsible for all aspects of the operation including, warehouse, customer service and Transport/logistics operation.

This role is for an initial 6 months with potential to develop into a full time position.

Key responsibilities include:
Full responsibility of the companies customer service, sales, warehouse and transport and logistics functions
Develop strong relationships with key clients and contribute to the transformation of the company
Improve stock management and availability to customers
Improve OTD (on time delivery) to customers and improve processes
Ensure the company fully complies with all DVSA standards and the Department for Transport.
Investigate all Vehicle damage, incidents and accidents along with all driver breaches
Provide training and one to ones with all staff
Full responsibility of the P&L
Ensure the transport operation complies with FORS Bronze standards
Any other relevant roles

Essential Skill
Knowledge of all fleet audits/safety investigation/incidents
Experience of transport regulations
Ability to work under pressure
Good communication skills
Experience and Understanding of FORS

Desireable
International CPC
FORS practitioner
Full Licence and Class 2
Flexible working
Vehicle engineering or Mechanical knowledge
