An experienced Ecologist is required to help with the delivery of projects including large worldwide recognised rail infrastructure (HS2), transportation, electrification, power, water, urban developments and large scale residential / commercial properties for UK's leading developers. You will be based in the iconic Liverpool office overlooking the River Mersey and will be required to assist in the continued delivery of specialist environmental consultancy services.
Job Description
You will have the chance to be a part of an international environmental consultancy day to day sat within a small team in Liverpool helping with the growth and development.
Duties will principally involve project management covering all aspects of preliminary ecological appraisal, targeted protected species surveys, ecological clerk of works and the associated technical report writing. Ability to travel throughout the North West / North of England and to hold a GCN licence is essential.
To progress you will need to have,
* Relevant degree in ecology or directly related subject
* Relevant consultancy experience with a strong focus on preliminary ecological assessments, Phase 1 ecological survey and planning support.
* Excellent understanding of UK nature conservation legislation, including environmental impact assessments and planning guidance.
* Good report writing skills.
* Proven experience of working in a team delivering projects on-time and to tight deadlines.
* Hold a GCN licence, Bat licence in preferred but not essential.
