As Shift Maintenance Engineer with a manufacturing company you will be required to do preventative and pre planned maintenance as part of a small team . This challenging role requires an engineer with some level of experience within the maintenance.
The Company:
Manufacture installations products for civil engineering, underfloor heating, roof and wall installations.
Shift Maintenance Engineer) responsibilities include:
To be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all plant/buildings, fault finding and repairing of the same item using ones own initiative , whether electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic.
Must be prepared to work at all sites, to be called out in the event of break downs and be flexible enough to cover staff leave/sickness.
Carry out machine setup and tooling changes.
Carry out first off inspection to ensure quality of product produced after machine setup, changes and maintenance.
Maintain records of machine breakdowns.
Working in a team environment to assist in quality/production and health and safety, supporting other team members and training staff where necessary.
Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to machine plant and buildings.
Reporting to management any plant or equipment which appears to be unsafe in any way. Must adhere to the companys health and safety requirements at all times, including the wearing of PPE at all times.
Assist with the implementation of process improvements to save time and money for the department and business.
Must be prepared to be key holder, opening and closing the business.
The ideal candidate for the role of Shift Maintenance Engineer would have some of the following:
Engineering Apprenticeship
GCSE Mathematics
GCSE English
A Minimum two years experience in an engineering environment, or sound knowledge of engineering maintenance practices.
PARTICULAR APTITUDE OR SKILLS REQUIRED
Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and safety
Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Basic knowledge of the IEEE regulations
Managing tasks in a controlled and safe manner
Managing boiler systems safely
Key board skills
Package:
£24,000 salary
Pension
Monday to Friday working week
Overtime available paid at time and half and double time
