I am supporting a beloved charity based in South Yorkshire to recruit a Director of Care.

This role will be the strategic lead within the organisation and be accountable for the operational management and care services and will ensure that all regulatory, legal and professional are up to date and fit for purpose. You will also expand on existing external services regionally and nationally and participate in the national agenda.

Key responsibilities for this role will be:
Provide transformational leadership, vision and strategic direction of the clinical services.
Work closely with the CEO and other SLT members to reach the strategic aims of the organisation.
Set clinical standards and ensure that they consistently maintained.
Provide strong governance to the care team and organisation overall.
Ensure that the services delivered are appropriate and are centred around the service users and they are centre to everything.
Be the accountable officer and Registered Manager.

This is a fantastic position for a registered clinician (ideally with experience of working in a palliative environment) who has demonstrable experience of working with children and young people. The role will be all consuming and you will become part of the heart of the organisation leading by example and being open and transparent.

You will need to have extensive experience and knowledge of clinical skills and operate or have operated at a senior level and have had management of large budgets.

Overall you will need to be an inspirational leader with excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to converse at all levels and remain calm and collected in what can sometimes be a highly emotive environment, and you will definitely need to have a positive and cheerful demeanour.
