We have a fantastic opening for a Test Lead to join our Technology & Change department here at our Walsall office. Reporting into the Head of QA & Testing Services, to assist in leading the testing effort for Homeserve to meet demanding customer requirements. Working with a team of multi skilled engineers and third party partners this position will guide our company to achieving "best practice" quality systems, in addition to;
* Responsibility for the successful completion of all Test activities for a given project
* Ownership of the Test Strategy for a given project
* To initiate, lead and support the quality and governance compliance within the IT delivery team to optimise business value
* Responsibility for Test estimation
* Coordination of Test analyst resources within the project
* Test Execution
* To initiate, lead and contribute on delivering innovative technical solutions that support the effortless customer journey
* Ownership of the Test Summary Report and metrics
* Confirm that test process has been adhered to by verifying phase end criteria have been met.
* Review and approve estimates produced by off-shore providers
* Reducing the cost to test the platform from a regression and project perspective utilising a variety of techniques. i.e. automated testing, offshore delivery models, risk based testing
* Responsible for adherence to data protection and DDA policies
* Responsible for development planning & delivery of automated testing
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following knowledge, skills and attributes:
* Experience of working with Pega desirable
* Proven track record as a TEST Analyst and TEST Lead within a regulated industry
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of automated test tools eg: Loadrunner, Winrunner, Quality Centre and Quick Test Pro, Selenium
* Will be expected to understand business regulatory requirements, undertake Industry Accreditation Testing and ensure that IS systems comply with all relevant legislation in force at that time (DPA, PCI-DSS etc)
* In-depth knowledge of one or more of the following methodologies: V-Model, Waterfall/RUP, Agile
* Web Service Testing & Database Manipulation
* Relevant professional qualification or IT focussed degree desirable.
* Extensive experience of managing a Test Delivery Projects in a complex multi-channel architecture
* Experience of leading Test execution for Change Projects
* Experience of leading test for multiple concurrent projects
* ISEB Testing (Practitioner)
