My client is an established charity that provides care for service users with physical disabilities and complex needs . They are currently seeking experienced Senior Support Workers to work within their services in Leatherhead, Surrey.

The Senior support workers will Under the direction of the Registered Manager/Team Leader to assist with the day to day operational management of the service including people management and ensuring compliance with all legislative and organisational standards. .You will provide person centred care and support in the residential service for adults with complex disabilities that promotes independence, choice and dignity

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

* To lead the day to day running of the shift ensuring residents' care needs are met and correct staffing levels are maintained
* Required to support and manage a team of Support Workers in accordance with policies and procedures
* To ensure implementation of appropriate systems and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service
* To ensure residents have a stimulating and fulfilling programme of activities that meet their individual needs
* To ensure the safety of residents in terms of moving and handling, medication practices and risk management

Successful candidates will have a minimum of NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent. You must be able to demonstrate at least 1 year working with service users with physical and / or learning disabilities . You must also be able to demonstrate some experience of leading shifts.

Due to the location of the service, being a driver with your own transport is an advantage, however, the company does provide a taxi service to and from the train station at the start and end of shifts if required. It is an advantage if you are able to drive a minibus, to be able to transport service users.

Salary up to £ 20,007 negotiable depending on experience and qualifications

Hours are full time 37.5 hours per week.
