Our gas engineering contract are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our Diversions team in North London. You will undertake a range of design costing activities associated with gas network reinforcement and mains diversions, together with detailed target costing of design proposals.

You'll

* Take responsibility for ensuring the design output is accurately target costed and complies with the requirements of the NEC Opt C contract.
* Prioritise your workload and support the team to produce results
* Day to day liaison with and influencing key stakeholders, such as customers and operational colleagues.
* Assist in the production and implementation of the Programme for the tRIIO workload in partnership with the Delivery function.
* Assist in benchmarking and sharing best practice in partnership with other parts of tRIIO.
* Produce target costs for diversion & reinforcement activities, utilising a schedule of rates and apply sound engineering knowledge of design and construction of gas networks
* Issue enquiries to the supply chain to obtain quotes for target costing.
* Produce monthly management information on volumes and values, providing monthly visibility of committed costs.
* Present of target costs for the purpose of obtaining approvals and the governance process in a clear and concise manner.

We're looking for

* Minimum ONC in an Engineering Discipline
* Experience in utility networks including design processes
* Confident ability to discuss technical and commercial issues and with all key stakeholders
* Experience of managing relationships with both internal and external interfaces
* Experience of delivery planning
* Understanding of commercial and regulatory background
* Able to demonstrate good communication skills at all levels
* Self motivated, with a practical and logical approach to building costs for schemes
* Accomplished in using systems and tools (MSP, web based & MSExcel)
