Health and Social Care Tutor/Assessor - North West England
£24000 - £26,000 per annum plus mileage
Full-time/Permanent

Our client is an Ofsted Grade 2 national training provider who are committed to providing a high quality learning provision in a range of occupation areas. They are currently seeking two Health and Social Care Assessors/Tutors to deliver Pre-Employment courses in Health & Social Care in their Centre and and to assess Care apprenticeships in the workplace in the North West region of England.

Ideal candidates will have a solid occupational background in Health and Social Care (Adults), have a proven track record of success as an Apprenticeship Assessor and Tutor, with the ability to assess Care up to Level 3, deliver the functional skills as part of the framework and to deliver classroom teaching. This post will be split approximate 60/40 to classroom teaching/workplace assessing.

You must be able to drive and be willing to cover the North West region from South Lancashire down to Merseyside and the Wirral with occasional visits across to Manchester. The Training Centre is based in Aintree.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities to undertake this role include: o Deliver formal teaching sessions in Health & Social care at pre-employment/entry level in our clients centres and sometimes out in the workplace o Develop schemes of work that meet the criterion of Awarding Bodies, o Support Learners, through initial and diagnostic assessment, leading to the development of an individual learning plan, o Manage a caseload of Learners, ensuring that they are visited regularly and make progress in accordance with their learning plan. o Provide appropriate tuition, to enable learners to be successful in undertaking examinations in a range of functional skills and technical certificates. o Record learner visits and progress in the prescribed manner, using both manual documentation and the one file e portfolio system.

You will need to have the following:
* Be a qualified Assessor, able to demonstrate practical experience in delivering Apprenticeship programmes (A1 Award, TAQA, CAVA, etc)
* Practical experience in the delivery of Health and Social Care & Functional Skills (hold a teaching qualification; PTLLS or equivalent or higher)
* Solid occupational experience in adult Health and Social Care and relevant qualification
* Full driving licence and car owner.

DESIRABLE
* Experienced in the role of Internal Verifier
* Matrix Standard (IAG) qualified

Standard hours are 35 hours per week, between the hours of 9 am to 5pm however you should be willing to work variable hours when necessary to meet the requirements of the post.

Salary is £24000 - £26,000 pa, depending on experience and qualifications. Mileage is paid at 45p per mile.
