Gas Engineer - I currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Domestic Gas Engineer to work for a nationwide gas company, being primarily based in the DY postcode on a day to day basis. The Gas Engineer will be employed on a permanent basis working on the service and breakdown side of things, this means you must be very good at fault-finding, servicing and diagnosing problems on boilers.

The starting basic salary is £24,000, with an added £12 for every service you do and £10.50 for every extra breakdown you do, with this in mind, most engineers earn a very healthy £38,000 - £40,000 per year. The Gas Engineer will also be enrolled on to a 1 in 5 call out rota paid at £14.50/hour for every hour called out with a £15/hour standby fee.

A van, tools, analyser, PDA, holiday package, vouchers and a full van stock. The working hours are roughly 8-5:30 but there will be slight flexibility dependant on what the last job you turn up to is. There will also be optional extra call out and weekend work should you want to earn even more money.
