My client in the South Wales area are looking for an experienced Tool Maker to join their expanding Engineering team. You will be working a 3 shift rota, days, nights and afternoons.

You will have:

* Approximately 5 years' experience, in press tools, mould tools.
* Ability to use standard Tool Room machinery, and complete tasks to a high degree of accuracy.
* CNC and EDM knowledge / experience would be advantageous.
* Must be fully qualified & possess relevant indentures for time served as an apprentice tool maker.
* Ability to manufacture jigs and fixtures as well as tool improvements and fault finding.
* Experience within the automotive industry would be advantageous but not essential.

Duties:

To be able to work to tight tolerances and time schedules. Be able to use the standard machines in the tool room to a high degree of accuracy. The toolmaker has to be able to manufacture jigs and fixtures as well as tool improvements and on line fault finding. The toolmaker will be reporting to the lead hand and will be responsible for monitoring the work load of the tool room assistant. Must be willing to undergo training if needed in C.N.C. and E.D.M. or in any other aspects that would benefit the company and the individual.

Price / Salary: £24000 - £27000/annum
