REGULATORY SPECIALIST OUTSOURCE MONITORING

12 MONTHS FTC

SALARY: £35k to £40k + BENEFITS

LOCATION: LONDON

Project Practice is proud to announce a Fixed Term Contract - a Regulatory Specialist for a well-established bank. The individual would be responsible to support the payment services division to monitor and manage its outsource partners and ensure they follow SYSC8 requirements. Ensure compliance and operational risk oversight for outsource partners.

Responsibilities:
Manage the outsource monitoring plan
Conduct oversight reviews and ad hoc control testing
Work closely with the outsource partners to remediate any issues immediately
Provide subject matter expertise to outsource partners and internal colleagues for various operational risk and compliance matters such as AML/KYC, ABC, Fraud, Sanctions/PEP, Complaints Handling, Conduct Risk, Card Payments Scheme Compliance, Business Continuity and Exit Plans
Due diligence of outsource partners (existing and new) for financial and operational viability
Conduct periodic risk assessments for outsource partners
Analyse and conduct root cause analysis over Management Information provided by a portfolio of partners
Support timely and relevant reporting to senior management and EXCO
Work closely with project teams to provide support to imbed new requirements with existing partners
Ensure the company is Treating Customers Fairly

Requirements:
Working knowledge of outsource regulations and requirements SYSC8
Solid experience of conducting compliance monitoring reviews and controls testing
Strong stakeholder management skills both internal and external
Experience in payments services industry would be an advantage
Knowledge of UK and/or European regulation and legislation an advantage
Familiar with the relevant regulatory UK Handbooks and Guidance an advantage
Payments Scheme knowledge VISA, Mastercard, Faster Payments etc., would be an advantage
Team player
