This role is to provide a Service Validation & Test (SV&T) Lead to continue to support and mature the Test capability and to support the transition to the longer term resource provision once that has been sourced.
The role reports to the Test Lead and, as part of the I,T&T Capability, will support the embedded Project I,T&T Test Leads, to manage test assurance across the project lifecycle, helping projects deliver and go live, quickly, efficiently and with known risk.
This is a hands on test lead role that requires the ability to:
assure Cross Tower/Service SV&T activities and execution. provide support to the MOD Test liaison both in terms of coaching and the management of the day to day portfolio of test projects working at the front end of the projects identifying project test requirements and building test estimates working closely with the Test Planner to validate the demand and resource profiles by feeding in confirmed project requirements in association with the Projects and MSP involved, assure MSP Test artefacts, MSP Test Execution and Test Completion assurance artefacts. in association with the Projects and MSP involved, agree the E2E Test requirement, artefacts and ensure the associated E2E Testing is executed including the agreement of all E2E Test, Execution and Completion assurance artefacts. identify, manage, remediate and/or escalate as appropriate I,T&T level MSP/Project SV&T RAID
Essential Skills:
Experience of the Test Lifecycle particularly SIT and UAT within a multi-programme, multi technology environment, including helping projects find problems early in the delivery lifecycle.
Experience of testing complex technical integrations
Ability to see changes and deliverables from the stakeholders' perspective.
Able to develop and use graphics and reports to present test status and progress across disparate portfolios of work
Experience of working and delivering in a formal process framework.
Strong influencing skills.
Strong coaching skills with experience of onboarding/inducting new resources - as Test Managers are allocated to projects
Risk management, in particular working with stakeholders enabling them to make informed decisions about implementing new releases with known risk.
Desirable Skills:
Experience of the SIAM delivery model is desirable,
ISTQB ideally practitioner level
MS Project
Defence/public sector knowledge
