A leading engineering and design consultancy operating in various sectors (oil & gas / chemical / petrochemical / construction / building services etc) are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their established team in the Humberside area. The excellent opportunity has arisen, due to continued growth for a Business Development Manager to join this international company. This person will be responsible for selling and promoting integrated product and services across the companys markets.

You will need to have enthusiasm and passion to promote the company and get the name/brand further into the market. You will need to be self-motivated, results oriented individual with experience within engineering/technology packages sector. You will be splitting your time between your North Lincolnshire office and being out in the field (From a business perspective you can choose to visit anywhere in the UK).

Day to day responsibilities
Identifying new business opportunities in different markets
Network with the contacts, in particularly operators and producers, and potential clients within the oil, gas and chemical industries
Understanding and promote the company's portfolio of products and services into the oil, gas and chemical sectors
Communicate the companys USP to the clients
Organise, plan and manage sales and business development activities within these geographies
Fulfil customers requirements in terms of bidding, contract documentation etc
Actively engage in proposal development, negotiate, follow-up and win projects
Ensure appropriate resource allocation to follow and win projects
Establish & execute sales plan and strategy according to the market conditions and opportunities in these geographies
Follow the activities of competitors and adapt strategies accordingly, when necessary, to maintain leadership in the market
Collaborate with Marketing & Competitive Intelligence team to keep abreast of trends and to ensure that the Sales & BD strategy is geared to address the opportunities
Maintain close contact with the market (with clients, suppliers and industry bodies)
Identify opportunities, propose selection of projects and follow the selected projects
Prepare & achieve annual sales targets; update and adapt based on the evolution of market opportunities
Collaborate with Technology, Engineering, Procurement and Project Execution Teams as necessary in order to enhance the Companys success in the market

Essential skills
Come from an engineering or technology packages background (e.g. compressors, boilers, CHP, wind turbines etc)
Considerable experience of sales, business development within the engineering sector or technology sector
Existing contacts within the above industries
Energetic, self-driven and result-oriented
Strong negotiation, influencing and solution selling skills
Strong knowledge of business/markets in the region

Price / Salary: £50000 - £60000/annum + bonus & other benefits
