Job Summary

Apprentice CAD Draftsman/CNC Operator:

Staff Today are excited to be recruiting for an established Set Design, Construction and Theming company with production headquarters based in the Midlands. We are seeking skilled and ambitious individuals to work among our creative and fresh thinking design and Production teams.

We are seeking an apprentice CAD draftsman to assist with translating concept art and 3D models into workable drawings and plans for manufacture and client presentation purposes.
any CAD skills and manufacture knowledge/experience in construction is desirable. Must have a clear, fast paced style that is easily communicated. Projects will vastly range from bespoke sets, to multiple level projects involving traditional and contemporary production methods.

The ideal candidates must have an understanding of how to operate CNC machines and related processes.

Candidate must be reliable, able to use their initiative and work to deadlines as part of a team.

A driving license is also desirable as applicants must be willing and available to travel for measuring at site visits.

Advantageous skills:

Large format digital printing knowledge.

Experience with Joinery processes.

IT / Engineering qualifications.

Ability to produce technical drawings and produce 3D CAD drawings

Some level of CAD experience
