We have a fantastic opening for 2 x Waking Night Workers to join our brand new Learning Disabilities Team providing night support to our customers in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire.

This is an exciting time as we are recruiting to several roles across Herts. The primary focus of our services is to support customers in a range of areas, including offering a progressive service with a high rate of flexibility to meet the customers' needs at different stages of their life, finding employment, and building stability through a range of social activities. A successful outcome is achieved when our customers can move on to suitable long-term accommodation appropriate to their needs.

In our accommodation based service in Letchworth Garden City, our Waking Night Workers are responsible for ensuring safety and wellbeing of our customers and security of our schemes at night, as well as supporting and caring for individuals' needs where appropriate and in line with the service requirements. Our service is accommodation based environment that support young people with learning disabilities who may have varying support needs.

Genesis Care & Support is a prominent provider of housing related support to people with Learning disabilities in Hertfordshire. We have recently undergone an ambitious change programme in our Learning Disabilities Service. The aim of the new service is to ensure our customers achieve their own goals and aspirations through the support and encouragement of our staff.

Your role could include providing advice and response in person or by phone, supporting and managing the night services and actively working with and supporting your managers and team colleagues to ensure that all aspects of service delivery meet excellent standards in terms of quality and outcomes.

Although previous supported housing experience would be suitable for this role, we are also looking for inspirational individuals who will seize the potential of making a difference in people's lives. We want to find motivational individual's that have a genuine interest working with vulnerable people and delivering a person-centred service.
The salary for the role is £15,379.17 per annum. Full time staffs are expected to work average 35 hours per week. Night shifts are 10 hours each night. Further details will be provided on request.
