I have an exciting new vacancy for a quality manager with a client based in Exeter / Taunton area. The company manufacture special purpose machinery from precision machines parts. The quality manager will lead the QA team and report in to the Group manufacturing director. You will be responsible for managing the IOS9001:2015 accreditation and ensuring the standards are maintained and improved where possible.

You will have a background in lean manufacturing, preferably six-sigma green belt or higher and have a track record of continuous improvement. Experience managing a QMS is essential as is structured problem solving experience. We are looking for a quality manager from a precision machining background and you will have worked closely with customers and suppliers to overcome issues.

The Role

* Ongoing management of ISO9001 standard and compliance
* Leadership QMS
* Experience of mechanical precision engineering
* Auditing skills to support internal and external QA
* Experience working closely with customers and suppliers
* Management of QA team

You will need to have experience managing teams and be a strong leader with great communication skills. Ideally you will have used Qpulse but will have good general IT skills. The quality manager will have a hands on approach to improving quality and reducing waste.
