Ford and Stanley Recruitment are delighted to be working with one of the UK's leading brands who are looking for hands on mechanical engineers to manage test programmes that verify whether certain product reach industry standards.

This role offers real diversity and variety, where one minute you'll be in the lab undertaking some precision measurements and the next you'll be discussing testing requirements with a client. Strong communication and project management skills are at the heart of this role as your act as a senior test engineer with in the team and lead testing. You'll have constant interaction and engagement with clients at a variety of levels, from technicians to Directors. This role is perfect for an engineer or technician with a mechanical bias who is able to apply their technical ability in a client focused role.

You'll also support the Team Manager providing quotations, managing chargeable Testing Projects, planning of Test workload through the laboratory, alignment with Lean Metrics, supervising test work on a defined range of products to agreed quality, standards and timescale.

In addition you'll review, accurate and completed test reports and contribute to evaluate test products primarily for safety, efficiency, fit for purpose and/or bespoke customer requirements.

The successful candidate will be an engineer or technician with a minimum 1 years experience of hands on mechanical experience and a strong sense of delivering to customer expectations. The position involves a lot of client interaction and therefore clear spoken English skills is a pre requisite.
