Pertemps are working in partnership with a market leading manufacturing business, recruiting for an experienced Electrician Technician / Electrical Engineer / Electrical Maintenance Engineer (FMCG) to join and support the Maintenance Team.

As an Electrical Technician you will be responsible for providing engineering support to achieve the plant production targets & PPM completion rate to KPI target levels. The key responsibilities of this role are to actively take part in and lead the Engineering Team in areas such as breakdown response, PPM, Continuous Improvement (CI) Initiatives, Training and Housekeeping.

Working Hours: 4on 4off 12 hours shifts (6AM - 6PM; 6PM - 6AM), working days and nights Reporting To: Site Engineering Manager / Site Controls Technician / Engineering Team Leader

What are your responsibilities as an Electrician Technician / Electrical Engineer / Electrical Maintenance Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

Carry Out the Diagnostics, preventive and routine maintenance, as well as fault finding, troubleshooting, and breakdowns on all equipment
Maintain a clean, and safe work area, adhere to best practice safety procedures;
Practice & encourage others to deliver the highest standards of Health & Safety at all times and ensure that all plant and ancillary equipment is maintained to these high standards
Complete Issue activity reports for work completion
Assist the Site Engineering Manager in minimising machine down time by proposing & introducing improved maintenance programmes & continuous improvement ideas.
Responsible for timely completion of all plant PPM schedules and to provide support for all site wide PPM programs
Ensure good communication avenues are prevalent between the Engineering Teams & the Operational teams
Work as part of a multi-functional Mechanical / Electrical on-site Team
Any other adhoc duties as required

Requirements:

You will be a time served manufacturing (FMCG) Electrical Engineer
National vocational qualification in engineering; Electrical, 17th Edition Training or a good academic qualification (i.e. C&G, HNC / HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent)
Apprentice trained & qualified
Experience of fault finding on Automated controls systems such as PLCs, HMIs, Scada, Invertor Drives, Profibus & some instrumentation
Ability to read & modify software on control systems such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi etc.
Able to work under pressure and deliver results to a defined deadline
Logical and analytical
