My Client is looking for a Project Leader whose main focus will be to manage new product development to deliver innovative concepts ensuring that time ,cost , specifications and reliability are met.

Your role as Project Leader you will be to focus on:

* strategy & vision through new product design
* Providing technical leadership & support to the new product team
* Ensuring that projects adhere to company New Product Introduction (NPI), Engineering Change & Project Management techniques
* Liaison with factories to ensure smooth transition from development to production
* Ensure that all projects comply with current legislation, H & Safety regulations, and strict compliance with R&D Reliability & Document Control best practice.
* Provide component specifications to procurement dept. for sourcing & arranging samples of components
* Conduct feasibility studies on new project proposals

As an experienced Project Leader you will report to the New Product Design Manager, and you will make decisions in respect to project budges, time scales & reliability to meet technical approval, therefore it is essential that you have previous experience in a similar manufacturing role & in addition:

* Have a degree or equivalent in a design or engineering discipline
* Be confident managing multiple projects in a new product development environment
* When working on projects outside your own experience you must be confident & capable of researching & evaluating new technologies.

As the successful Project Leader you will be located at our offices in Worcester, therefore it will be ideal if you live in or near Worcestershire /Herefordshire or South Birmingham
