The Role
Working within a dedicated service team, youll be tasked with taking ownership of client tickets throughout both the first and second line stages until either resolution or escalation to specialist third line. Queries are varied and will range from password resets right through to full system outages. While the majority of tickets will be resolved remotely, there may be the requirement to visit client sites.

Youll be supporting predominantly Microsoft systems and servers and youll also be tasked with the support infrastructure project work. This typically includes installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and upgrading computer hardware (typically PCs), software, applications, storage, backup solutions, printers, networks, other peripheral equipment and hosted business systems.

The Candidate
Were looking for client-oriented and confident team players that are reliable, approachable and self-motivated.

Youll need to have a strong technical understanding, as well as having excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in writing, face to face and over the telephone with a wide-ranging audience.

The essential requirements are:
- Experience in Networks (including routers and switches), TCP/IP, MS Exchange, Active Directory, Backup solutions and Antivirus software.
- Experience in both first and second line support (including site visit fixes)
- Experience working on implementation of IT projects
- Experience using network troubleshooting tools

Microsoft Certification (MCSA, MCSE) is desired, however not essential, as theres the opportunity to study within the role for the right candidate. However, you must have the desire to continuously learn in a team environment and the ability to work collaboratively when required.

The Package
The basic salary is up to £30,000, depending on experience, with generous holiday allowance.
