Senior Software Engineer required to join a fast-growing web & digital software specialist based in the Southampton area - voted in the Sunday Times top 100 companies to work for, four years running!

Our client is an award-winning technology innovator working with some huge brand names including Sony, BBC, O2, Just East, Odeon, John Lewis, to name just a few.

This is a fantastic time for a Senior Engineer to join a fun, dynamic digital company that is continuing to grow and has excellent career prospects.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in OO PHP5, Object Oriented Programming methodologies, SQL, JavaScript and standards-compliant XHTML + CSS. Experience using a MVC framework like Zend.

The role will involve helping to deliver core system products and features based on award winning research. The products are a mixture of advanced web applications and complex back end scripts.

Key Experience:

* 5 - 10 years' experience in a senior development role
* Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle
* Delegation of projects within a team based environment
* Experience in Agile / Scrum development with a passion for TDD
* Expert in the OOP, LAMP and PHP5+
* Excellent technical writing skills

Skills Preferred:

* Object Oriented programming

As a Senior Engineer you will earn a competitive salary between £45k - £50k dependent on experience.
