Our client, a leading dealer group, is looking to recruit an experienced ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT to cover for Maternity leave on a temporary contract.
Location: Woodford, Essex
Salary: £25,000 - £27,500 negotiable
Hours: 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday
Contract: Maternity Cover, min six months.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the accounts team at a prestrigious Dealership based in South Woodford, Essex in the role of Assistant Accountant. This is a temporary role to cover Materntiy Leave, we want to get the right person in place asap to ensure a full handover and adequate trainging is given.

The working hours are 09.00am 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UKs leading automotive groups. The main responsibilities of the role will include daily Bank Reconciliations, Warranty, Vehicle and general Sales Ledger Debtor processing including full reconciliations along with some Credit Control. There are various Vehicle Control Accounts that require weekly review and action. At Month End, this role is responsible for closing the S/L and P/L and ensuring all control accounts are reconciled at this point. You will attend weekly Debtor meetings and assist the Finacvial COntrroller in other areas of the business as required.

This will be a varied role and we are looking for someone who is keen to progress. You must be ready to hit the ground running and have an enthusiastic approach to day-to-day tasks. You will also need to have a strong and flexible work ethic.

We are looking for the following competencies:
Previous experience in an accounts role is essential and you will ideally hold an AAT qualification or be part qualified.
Previous motor trade experience would be beneficial but not essential.
Very strong proven experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliations is a necessity in this job role.

This is a full time position working Monday to Friday 9.00 to 17.00. The salary is negotiable.

This is a temp contract covering maternity leave. The contract will be a minimum of six months, up to a year with an eight week notice period.
