The Candidate:

To be considered for this SENCO role you will need to be a Passionate, experienced teacher with a solid knowledge of the latest SEN Code of Practice. Ideally you will have previous experience as a SENCO. You will possess the necessary leadership experience to lead teaching support staff. You will have a naturally empathetic demeanour and ability to build strong relationships quickly with parents, staff and external agencies.

About the Role:

The successful candidate for this SENCO role will need QTS and the National Award for SEN Co-ordination. Your responsibilities as SENCO will include monitoring the progression of students and ensuring relevant interventions are provided. Other responsibilities of this role will be to liaise with any external agencies and/or pupils' parents, which can prove challenging in itself.
