A fantastic opportunity is immediately available for an ambitious Structural Engineer to become an important and highly valued part of a market leading, highly specialist Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy at their office based in the heart of Edinburgh. Our client delivers a wide range of projects across the residential, commercial and industrial sectors and are actively looking to welcome the successful applicant to become an important part of a highly experienced and welcoming team. In this role you will have the opportunity to play a leading part in the delivery of a number of upcoming projects from inception to completion and work directly alongside experienced engineers, with many unique training opportunities available, both internally and externally. Our client is looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000 for this role, in addition to offering a wide range of benefits and a fantastic opportunity for career progression.

In order to be considered for this Structural Engineer role you will:

* Hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
* Possess at least 5 years' experience working in a UK based consultancy
* Possess experience of working with steel, concrete, timber and masonry
* Possess a good understanding of British Standards and Eurocodes
* Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Possess an ability to work well both individually and as part of a team
* Possess a desire to become a Chartered engineer

Key responsibilities of this Structural Engineer role include:

* Play an important part in the delivery of a range of building structures projects from inception to completion
* Attend site projects as required
* Work directly alongside experienced and Chartered engineers
* Assist in bid proposals
* Progress to more senior positions as you produce good work
* Receive full support to the completion of Chartership
