SEND Teaching Assistant

Are you a graduate with previous school experience as a TA, LSA or Learning Mentor?

Are you keen to develop your experience of working with SEN children?

This well regarded SEN Secondary school in EN3 is looking for an experienced Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their established staff team.

To be considered you must be a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant who can be an exceptional role model to all pupils. You must possess a professional approach coupled with an understanding of when to be empathetic, adapting to different situations accordingly. The school needs a SEN Teaching Assistant who has a legitimate interest in the well-being and safety of their pupils and the ability to overcome challenging situations. The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have prior experience of working with Special Needs in a school setting.

You will be responsible running intervention classes for small groups of pupils to ensure they are on track with their targets. The SEN Teaching Assistant role involves you working closely with pupils who speak 'English as an Additional Language' to help accelerate their academic and social development. You will be supporting pupils who have a statement of SEN, ranging from emotional difficulties to severe ASD, and meeting their individual needs accordingly.
