We are seeking skilled and passionate PHP Developer to work with a genuinely exciting start-up company based in central London. Founded by one of the UK's leading tech media entrepreneurs this venture is set to re-balance the freedom and accuracy of news journalism.

You will contribute to internal and external projects including development of the core platform, data processing and analytics tools. The platform is ripe for hacking so any knowledge of secure coding and encryption would be highly advantageous, however the company will provide PluralSight training should it be needed.

The role will be office based on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays and you will be able to work from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The main focus is back end development, leveraging large data sets to produce quality APIs driving a range of front end applications (JavaScript) and mobile apps.

The company is an established start-up with plenty of scope of innovation, creativity and the implementation of modern process and practices. We would like to see candidates who are passionate about best practice, quality and can apply creativity to solve technical challenges.

You will be working some of the news industries sharpest minds so a real passion for your work and personal investment in self-development is a must.

Skills:

* A deep understanding of PHP Web Development , Ideally PHP 7+
* Experience with MySQL
* Wordpress
* GIT
* Knowledge of MVC frameworks
* AWS
* JQuery and JavaScript
* Unit Testing / Automated Testing
