Reporting to:
Head of Team, although day to day reporting and/or supervision may be delegated to other partners or fee earners (your line manager).
Responsible for:
You will be responsible for the Tax and Trusts and Asset Management Team (TAM).
Liaises with:
Clients, other fee earners, support staff.
Job Overview:
The post holder will provide clients with tax services of the highest quality in conformity with the quality standards of the practice.
You will help to provide tax advisory services to the firms diverse range of clients, including HNWIs, UK and non-UK domiciled individuals, trusts and international investors.
You will supervise and be responsible for the delivery of service by Tax and TAM teams, working cohesively with existing members of both teams.
Main Duties:
To provide tax services to the practices clients which will include:
supervision and responsibility for private individuals and Personal
Representatives and Trustees
providing technical supervision and development of best practice in
delivery of services by Tax and TAM team
helping to develop the practice by contributing to marketing projects
providing tax know-how support to clients of other parts of the firm, in
particular CGT
working with members of the Private Client Advisory Group
seeing clients when necessary
ensuring that a clients requirements are understood
initiating appropriate action
informing clients about fees in accordance with professional standards
preparing and delivering fee invoices at monthly or other agreed
intervals
advising clients accurately and effectively on the legal issues that arise
managing a clients expectations about what they want to achieve
reporting progress and outcomes to clients on a regular basis
To provide services in accordance with the quality standards of the practice particularly with regard to:
client care
risk management
time recording of work done
billing clients for work carried out
the recovery of fees billed.
To comply with the requirements of the Solicitors Regulation Authority and in particular to ensure that clients money is handled correctly and in accordance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
To assist with and to promote the successful development of the practice in line with the strategy agreed by the Board and contained in the Business Plan of the practice.
To undertake appropriate personal professional development through training and education.
