Our client is an International Banking that is looking to hire a Credit Analyst/Officer to join their team;
As a small bank, it will suit someone with a broader skill set than solely credit analysis as it will also require some Management Information reporting skills at month end and quarter dates, although the vast majority of the work will be credit/ credit analysis based.
The successful candidate would ideally have 3 or more years' experience in UK market in the following: -
* Educated to Graduate level or more.
* The ability to conduct detailed Credit analysis of new/ reviews/ renewals of UK buy to let and development real estate loans (predominantly residential) and the UK and overseas SME/ wholesale customers Including term loan and W/C assessment.
* Knowledge of syndication loans would be advantageous.
* The above will require sound communication skills as it will regularly involve interaction with senior branch staff to discuss proposals submitted, then present completed papers to sanctioning committees. It will also require interaction with members of the Risk function on rating related matters, and the Credit Monitoring unit for potential problem accounts.
* An awareness, comfort, and familiarity with credit processes, systems, procedures, policies and the changing nature of the regulatory environment.
* Ability to interpret, escalate and act upon findings presented by the Branches via quarterly credit review sheets, to help identify any potential early warning signals such as past due positions, breach of covenants, poor financial performance, delays in development projects, documentary issues, excesses, shortfall or problems with collateral and/ or other common potential indicators of increased risk.
* Be able to prepare various forms of management information/ reports/ Dashboards for monitoring and control purposes, to be used for day to day purposes as well as Management committees and Head Office reporting.
* For reporting purposes, it is essential that the successful candidate has relevant Excel skills, such as an ability to use v-lookups, pivot tables and produce graphs/ tables, and ideally to be able to comment on relevant trends and developments.
* As a small bank, it is vital that the candidate is a team player and comfortable interacting with other team members
Price / Salary: £25000 - £30000/annum
