Morson currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Maintenance Operations Manager working for our client based in Herefordshire.

Profile

This position provides the opportunity to be involved in the maintenance of equipment at the client's site ensuring optimal equipment condition through effective execution of routine maintenance schedules and timely response to equipment breakdowns. The position holder will ensure the team and equipment operate in a safe working environment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Deliver and document compliance to meet all legal and statutory requirements.

Ensure employee and product safety at all times by ensuring all company policies, standards, processes and procedures are fulfilled and adhered to.

Ensure continuity of key services whilst developing and delivering a proactive strategic plan to ensure future continuity.

Liaise with and support the reliability engineering team in coaching and deploying Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques to the services team.

Co-ordinate, react and escalate responses to sites issues as appropriate.

Development and management of routine planned maintenance schedule.

Occasional capital projects and budget management.

Completing health and safety investigations.

Define KPI's i.e. energy consumption.

Management of a team.

Qualifications/ Experience

Ideally candidates who have a qualified degree or HND/ HNC level in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.

Experience with working within a lean manufacturing or Total Predictive Maintenance (TPM) environment.

Knowledge of legionella's, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems), CDM (Construction, design management).

Production experience at managerial level.

Proven experience in managing teams.

Change and project management experience.

Effective communicator.

Lean Manufacturing/ TPM accreditation.
