A fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Planner ideally from an FMCG Manufacturing environment such as Pharma, Food, Drink, Bottling or Print & Packaging.
This role is responsible for planning the engineers working, including TBMs, responsive actions, preventative maintenance tasks, continuous improvement and proactively planning and executing projects.

Sound electrical and mechanical knowledge is required to enable efficient and effective planning of engineering tasks to be carried out by the maintenance team.

Qualifications and Experience:

Plan TBM (Time Based Maintenance) and any defect rectification for the shift engineers.
Root Cause Analysis and solutions to prevent issues from recurring.
Analyse data from failure history and proactively take ownership of continuous improvements on the machinery working with production to improve results.
Management of contractors as required.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment, and complies with procedures and regulations.
Determine, document and complete Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities including identification and rectification, on electrical and mechanical systems.
Fault finding of equipment both mechanical and electrical issues, including PLC and SCADA systems.
Determine and procure electrical and mechanical spares to reduce Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and increase Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF).
Ensure spares are available and reordered as required.
Ensures that all equipment meet the legislative requirements.
Provide technical expertise for the specification, purchase, installation and commissioning of new equipment or equipment upgrades ensuring Management of Change processes are adhered to.
Ensures an accurate and concise handover to other shifts and ensures that line manager is informed of occurrences.
Day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the facilities.

Skills and Experience:

Required

Demonstrate the ability to plan and run maintenance tasks and projects
ONC/ HNC/HND in either Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Experience working with PLCs.
Solid experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer in any FMCG industry.
Ability to review technical drawings as required.
conversant with the use of hand tools and power tools to aid maintaining of equipment.
Experience of pumps and motors, VFD, control loop, single line diagram and an understanding of I/Os of PLCs.
Experience with Critical Management Maintenance Systems (CMMS)
Strong working knowledge and hands on experience with rotating and static equipment.
Good English language skills in oral and written communication.
To be able to work on day and cover night shift occasionally
Maintain positive Can Do attitude & strives for continued improvement.
To work well as part of a team.

Desirable

Green Belts experience in relation to CI projects, lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.

Ability to read and interpret process flow diagrams and P&IDs.

High speed manufacturing experience.

Start-up experience.

Installation of process equipment experience.
