My client based in Leeds are looking to recruit two windows 20 compatibility project officers. Please be advised that this role is within the public Sector, however the role is deemed to be outside of IR35. This role is for an initial 3 month duration.

As a Windows 10 Compatibility Project Officer you will support the migration & testing of over 300 applications to approximately 12.5k thousand computer users from Windows 7 & 8.1 to Windows 10.

The officers will work closely with the Windows 10 Compatibility Work Stream Leads, Windows 10 Project Manager, DIS Application Teams, DIS Business Partners and other relevant stakeholders as needed.

The Windows 10 Compatibility work stream is responsible for the assessment of all applications and end user devices against the suitability of these for Windows 10 and a 64bit operating system. The User Acceptance Testing and Pilot Procedures and Processes Windows 10, applications, quality and feature updates will be created including a strategy for Windows Quality and Feature Updates post project, this will align with the current work for PSN.

The work stream, working alongside the Business Engagement work stream will identify test users and change champions for the future who will be responsible for the testing of applications, quality and feature updates.

The delivered outcomes above require the following skills and experience;

* Excellent communication & engagement skills with all stakeholders at all levels both technical and non-technical including suppliers of applications.
* Proficient in the use of SharePoint reporting/views.
* Detailed analysis of large data sets and subsequent RAG status reporting/risk assessments.
* Excellent organisational & report/recommendation writing skills.
* It is desirable that the post holder will have working knowledge of Windows 10 migration application testing & the compatibility challenges this presents in a large public sector organisation.
* It is desirable that the post holder has previous experience in user acceptance testing including the creation of test plans.
* Working unsupervised to strict deadlines.
