JR Personnel are an employment agency acting on behalf of a client who is looking for a Lead Structural Engineer to lead a Structural Engineering Team within the Civil Engineering Group. The role requires business development, project management, technical delivery, service development and development of others.
Role:
Interfacing with clients and developing new business opportunities.
Preparation of bid documentation to ensure bids are delivered within agreed timescales and to clients expectations.
Managing projects to ensure that the clients scope is delivered within the timeframe, costs and agreed quality standards.
Ensuring that site visits, project reports/drawings and other forms of documentation are delivered to the high standards expected by our client.
Manage and develop other engineers; mentor and educate on high standards of work, technical knowledge, delivery of projects/activities and customer interface.
Profile:
A good degree qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering or similar discipline.
A Chartered Engineer, with appropriate design experience including site experience. Chartered civil (MICE) or chartered structural (MIStructE).
Experience and ability of working with British Standards and Highway Standards relating to civil engineering and construction aspects of the UK onshore gas industry (In particular Eurocode 1, Eurocode 2, Eurocode 3, Eurocode 7, DMRB and HAUC).
Knowledge of structural analysis, foundation design, concrete slabbing, drainage, pipe supports and a general understanding of highway loadings and infrastructure.
Knowledge and ability of working with of Tedds, Autocad, STAAD, Excel and Mathcad.
Full driving licence.
Proficiency in English, both oral and written
