We now have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join us in Mansfield to assist the Registered Manager in the effective management of the branch.
** *In the role, you will:* **
* Liaise with social service/private customers regarding case conference, reviews and assessments
* Assist the Registered Manager, as requested, in recruiting and interviewing all care and admin staff
* Assist the Registered Manager in investigating all accidents/incidents, reporting relevant accidents in line with RIDDOR procedures
* Arrange and conduct service user assessments
* Monitor and manage Branch Coordinators
* Conduct service user reviews in line with regulatory requirements
* Monitor the call monitoring system
* Provide care in emergency situations, which could involve evenings and weekends
* Be part of the out of hours on call team (in emergency situation), offering support to service users, workers, staff and other health and social care professionals
** *The successful Deputy Manager will have:* **
* Completed or be working towards NVQ / QCF Level 3 or 4 in Care
* Experience of working in a care environment
* Experience of supervision of staff
* Good verbal and written English skills
* Excellent leadership and people skills
* A full UK driving licence, with access to your own transport
* A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (paid for by Mears)
This role would suit a Care Supervisor or Care Team Leader.
