An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Manager to join Mears Care. Mears Care Limited is part of the Mears Group (PLC) and are one of the UKs leading providers of home care and support delivering high quality care. We have over 180 branches nationwide, provide care for over 40 000 older and disabled people with 17000 well trained and dedicated staff.

The Quality Assurance Manager will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for leading the Quality Assurance team of the branch which includes Quality Leads and Quality Seniors. The accountability for the role is to oversee Quality and Governance across the Living Well at Home (LWAH) service.

Duties will include:

* Prepare for statutory inspection visits through the provision and update of key documentation and the regular assessment of performance in relation to statutory requirements.
* To support the Operations Manager, in the implementation of Quality Markers and Quality Standards
* To develop and lead a rolling programme of service outcomes measures which captures the effectiveness of LWAH services and which supports the requirements of the Care Quality Commission and other statutory bodies.
* To develop reports that will feed into the process of the production and publication of Quality Accounts
* Lead and manage all currently established methods of gathering service user views.
* To monitor comments, suggestions, complaints and compliments made by service users and others, identifying trends where appropriate and report findings quarterly to the Commissioners.
* To oversee and review trends in line with audit outcomes, risk assessments, user involvement and adverse incidents.
* To prepare quarterly audit reports on incidents, accidents, significant events, complaints and safeguarding for all LWAH providers.
* To review, monitor and collate reports on all incidents, both clinical and non-clinical including medication administration errors within LWAH.
* To develop and implement risk assessment tools that will support service and practice monitoring whilst encouraging the delivery of a high quality, safe service using the Model of Care as a framework.

The successful Quality Assurance Manager will have the following skills and experience:

* Experience of ISO
* NVQ Level 5 minimum
* Knowledge of risk assessments and care plans
* Knowledge of care industry standards
* Experience of working with CQC IN A Good/Outstanding
* Experience of contract management
* IT Literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
* Full driving licence accepted in the United Kingdom and use of own vehicle
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* The ability to make competent decisions
* Effective and concise writing skills, with particular attention to detail
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
* Ability to manage information on various systems and produce reports

The hours of work are 40 hours a week. This role will be based out of our Newton Abbot branch in Kingsteignton and there will be a requirement to travel regionally to attend meetings on a regular basis.
