Award winning recruitment Company Templine are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to join our Client on a temporary to permanent basis in Ashby.

The Quality Inspector is required to provide a hands-on visible presence at final inspection stage to ensure Customer satisfaction with the Companys output; including preventing shipment where products do not meet specified and agreed standards.

The successful applicant will also be required to complete QA of goods inwards and inspection of sub-contract supplies to ensure the early detection of goods which fail to meet the drawing specifications or quality standards.

You will also be required to support continuous improvement through prompt reporting and escalation of issues and recommendations.

Main duties include;

* To carry out surveillance of activities and product inspection
* To inspect at all stages of production, report and ensure prompt rectification of any issues
* Support production staff through providing QC information
* Inspect supplier goods received following inspection processes and to action any non-conformances
* Ensure all inspection and rework records are kept up to date
* Act as a point of knowledge for the Quality Management System to ensure that all relevant functions of the business are aware of the quality requirements
* Liaise with suppliers to report and rectify quality issues ensuring information is recorded
* Plan for inspection reports by suppliers
* To work with the Quality Manager to produce and maintain internal systems to ensure
* To be the quality interface with suppliers in order to communicate quality requirements
* To carry out supplier/vendor assessments
* Monitor waste and the control of disposal
* Maintain awareness of health & safety rules and procedures
* Ensure records of non-conformity, rework and job operations are suitably and accurately captured to analyse job performance
* Any other duties as required by the Client

Person specification;

* Previous quality experience is essential
* IT literate
* Excellent attention to detail
* Customer focused
* Excellent telephone manner

Job details;

* Temporary - Permanent
* Days - Monday to Thursday 0805 to 1655 & Friday 0805 to 1530
* £8.50 per hour to start
* 22 days holiday to start plus bank holidays when permanent
