Est. in 1955 and working with the largest provider of powered medical products. We manufacture medical tools for cutting bone (blades)/small aircraft parts & tools we specialise in precision engineering working to the smallest of measurements.

**We require a Finisher/Assembler (Permanent)**

**Role:**

Finishes and assembles products partially or completely, working at a bench or on the shop floor. Operates various types of air powered grinders and sanders to handcraft parts in order to remove pitting, burrs, protrusions, etc. The Finisher/Assembler will hold and/or create correct dimensions of radii, boss size, wall thickness, surface finish, etc on all parts.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Hand-finish cases and structures to remove imperfections and irregularities or finish surfaces and contours so parts meet customers specifications and production standards.
* Operate various types of air-powered grinders, sanders, and tools to handcraft parts by removing pitting, burrs, protrusions, etc.
* Maintaining specified contours and tolerances.
* Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
* Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
* Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications.
* Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce proper finish or close fit between parts.
* Deburrs parts, including precision deburring with visual aids.
* Ability to work to close tolerances on intricate small assembly work.
* Visual quality inspections.

**Skills and Experience required:**

* Good attention to detail.
* Manufacturing Experience.
* Experience using precision measuring equipment.
* Use of hand-grinding equipment.
* Pride in work.
* Safe and efficient approach to work
* Able to work to relevant H&S standards
* Lapping & Finishing experience (Desirable not essential).

MONDAY TO THURSDAY 8.00AM TO 5.00PM LUNCH BREAK 12.30PM TO 1.00PM

FRIDAY 8.00AM TO 1PM
