Witton Recruitment have a fantastic temporary opportunity for a skilled CNC Machinist to start ASAP however this role could go permanent for the right candidate, hours are Monday to Friday.

KEY COMPETENCIES

Achieve tolerances on machined items to drawing specification,

Working to a very high standard,

Be able to clock up jobs to a high degree of accuracy,

Achieve output as agreed with Machine Shop Supervisor,

Use of a crane (overhead),

Ability to meet deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS

Operatives must be physically fit,

Lifting up to 50 lbs; proper use of manual handling techniques required,

Operatives will spend significant amount of time standing and operating a machine,

Good manual dexterity; ability to use manual tools,

Some exposure to debris and noise; operator must follow safety protocol and wear protective equipment such as overalls, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses and ear protection,

Lubricants and coolants will be handled so caution is required.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Machine product to the specification contained in the drawing,

Be responsible for checking quality of machined components and liaise with QA Engineer as appropriate,

Maintain working area in a tidy and organised manner,

Consistently apply the Companys rules and procedures relating to safety, conduct, and discipline,

Other tasks as requested by and agreed with the Machine Shop Supervisor,

Being able to sharpen drills and make other lathe cutting tools would be advantageous,

Play an active role in the safety culture of the company ensuring the safety of yourself and the safety of

others that could be affected by your acts or omissions at all times,
