WAREHOUSE OPERATIVES
Templine Employment Agency is pleased to announce we have been awarded a new contract based in Desford, Leicestershire (LE9).
We are currently looking to recruit 50 Warehouse associate's to work across the below shifts.
Shifts Available: 07:00am - 15:00pm / 15:00 - 23:00pm / 23:00pm - 07:00am
Pay Rate: AM Shift: £7.50 per hour / PM Shift: £8.00 / NIGHT: £8.25 per hour
From the 1st April all pay rates will increase by 33p in line with NMW increase.
The ideal candidate will be able to make their own way to and from the location of work. Public transport is available, however it will require a 15 minute walk to the location.
Warehouse Associate Role Definition
Job Purpose:
Working within the Worldwide Distribution Centre based in Desford, the role of warehouse associate will primarily be focused on providing the client with world-class parts availability and customer service across a multi shift operation. The key purpose of the position will be focused on ensuring that the right part is in the right place at the right time in order to facilitate and contribute to accurate order fulfilment from location through to the end customers worldwide in line with the clients core values; customer commitments, fairness, outcome, teamwork, safety and compliance with our clients code of conduct.
Job Duties: Working within an engaged team the role of warehouse associate is such that a great deal of flexibility and commitment is required in order to provide a world class level of service against published goals and objectives.
Typical daily activities include the following: -
Ongoing housekeeping of all work areas and allocated facility zones in order to facilitate a clean and safe operation
Work safely within all processes to ensure a safe facility for all personnel within it
Contribute at shift start meetings in order to cultivate an open, honest and continuously improving facility to exceed customer expectations
Safe utilization of all equipment provided including counter balance, reach trucks and stock chasers where trained
Allocation of supplier deliveries to timeslots
Unloading and loading of supplier vehicles and product to a regimented timeslot booking in system
Put away of product into system defined locations
First adjudication of returned product for disposition and return to location
Inventory checks including daily location audits and quarterly Statistical test counts
Order fulfilment including picking, packing and loading of product onto vehicles for direct and indirect delivery to customers
Exception process management including picking and put away exceptions
Min/Max location top ups and demand driven let down
Updating of SAP in line with core Standard Work Operating Procedures
Background/ Experience: Previous experience of working within a similar environment would be an advantage however it is not considered to be essential. Applicants should have a good level of numeracy and literacy and be flexible in their approach to work. The ability to work as part of a team, be honest and able to work under pressure are prerequisites as is the ability to work calmly under pressure to documented facility goals.
Attention to detail and manual dexterity will be important to this role. A selection centre process will be used to identify those individuals who most closely meet our clients needs.
