A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Fitter in Manchester. In return we offer a competitive annual salary of £24,336 with the potential with overtime to earn £38,000 per annum plus holidays accrue at 2 days per full month and we also offer free parking and pension.

The Mechanical Fitters main responsibilities are:

* Read and understand technical drawings and build the equipment to those drawings
* Assemble equipment to drawing
* Use machinery for drilling, milling, pipe bending etc
* Move equipment by FLT if they have a licence Prepare and pack equipment for shipment

The successful Mechanical Fitter must have:

* ONC in mechanical fitting
* Time served experience as a Mechanical Fitter
* Great attention to detail

A forklift licence would be useful but is not essential.

The hours for this role are 39 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 8am-4.30pm and Friday 8am3.30pm. Overtime is available Monday-Friday 7.30am8.00am, Saturday 8am-12pm and Sunday 8am-1pm. Overtime is paid at time and a half Monday to Saturday and Sunday is paid at double time.

We have multiple vacancies available, initially for 12-months however there may be the opportunity that some posts will become permanent or extended beyond the initial 6 months.
